LabiCast FAQ

Put the computer and TV on the same reachable local network, open the TV receiver, then select the TV from the computer app.

1. Use the same regular Wi-Fi or wired local network on both devices.
2. Open the LabiCast TV receiver and keep it on the waiting screen.
3. Open the device list on the computer and select the discovered TV.
4. After connecting, choose screen mirroring, extended display, or camera casting.

The main-site download area provides the TV receiver APK for Android TV 4.4+. Install it with a USB drive or a transfer tool already available on the TV.

1. Download the TV receiver APK from the main-site download area.
2. Copy the APK to a USB drive or send it with a TV transfer tool.
3. Open the APK in the TV file manager and follow the TV system prompts.
4. Open the TV receiver and keep it on the waiting screen.

The devices are usually on isolated networks, or the TV receiver is not open.

1. Confirm both devices use the same regular Wi-Fi or wired local network.
2. Open the LabiCast TV receiver on the TV.
3. On a Mac, allow Local Network access when prompted.
4. Disable guest-network or device-isolation settings, or switch networks and try again.

If the TV is visible but the connection fails, check the apps, network, and router in that order.

1. Exit the current connection and reopen both apps.
2. Keep the TV receiver on its waiting screen.
3. Reconnect both devices to the network.
4. If it still fails, record the computer system, TV system, and reproduction steps before contacting support.

Wireless casting is affected by Wi-Fi strength, distance, and traffic on the same network.

1. Use a stable network for both devices.
2. Move closer to the router and reduce signal obstacles.
3. Pause large downloads, cloud sync, and other high-bandwidth tasks.
4. Reconnect and check whether the stutter continues.

First determine whether the whole desktop is black or only one app or item.

1. Exit casting and reconnect.
2. Check for screen-recording, camera, or other system permission prompts.
3. Switch to the desktop or another item to isolate an app-specific issue.
4. Record the system, casting mode, and reproduction steps before contacting support.

Check the TV playback state and the computer audio output before testing the casting mode again.

1. Check the TV volume and mute state.
2. Check the computer's selected audio output device.
3. Exit casting, reconnect, and test again.
4. If the problem remains, record the computer system, casting mode, and reproduction steps.
